A Time Such As This

A Time Such As This
Engraving of evangelist George Whitefield preaching during the Great Awakening in the 18th century. Clergy, sometimes called the ‘Black Robe Regiment’ by British soldiers during the Revolution, profoundly shaped early American faith and society.

Churches have been preaching God's word for thousands of years. The media has been allowing sensationalist stories depicting violence.

You would think God's word would be foremost in the minds of His children, but this is not the case. Violence occupies the thoughts and actions of our children. The media should reflect the standards of our society. Sadly, this also is not the case. The media capitalizes on the disobedience.

We as the Church must go the extra yard and bring civility back to our society. We must go beyond our sermons. Just as the Black Robe Regiment did, it is now time to leave the pulpit and partake in restoring our society. Like Esther, we must become Warriors for God and Country (Esther 4:14).

If we do not stand up our society will reflect this inaction. We will be judged! Just as a spark Ignites a fire, Brevard County can be the launching pad for this revival.

Esther 4:14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this
