A Time to Rejoice

This is truly a time to rejoice—there is peace in the Middle East.

Families are once again united. Politics aside, any end to violence is something to be cherished. This moment marks another step on the road toward restoring faith, hope, and the presence of God in our world.

Are we in Brevard County so different? Do we not also have fences to mend and relationships to rebuild?

If nations that have fought for thousands of years can turn their swords into plowshares (Isaiah 2:4), surely we can turn our disputes into friendships.

Let us be peacemakers in our own homes, our neighborhoods, and our hearts.

For the future—and the blessing of peace—truly rests in our hands.
