Central Florida Pastors Gather at Florida Capitol for Prayer Tour

TALLAHASSEE — Pastors from across Central Florida gathered at the State Capitol this past week as part of a prayer tour organized alongside Florida Family Voice, lifting up state leaders and agencies in prayer.

Photos shared on Facebook show pastors praying inside legislative offices and laying hands on public officials. According to the post, the group prayed over Florida’s Chief Financial Officer, state representatives, key agency leaders, the Attorney General’s Office, and the Governor’s Office.

Florida Family Voice is a nonprofit organization that works to advance Christian public policy in Florida. The organization is part of a national network of 38 state-based policy councils affiliated with Family Policy Alliance, Focus on the Family, Alliance Defending Freedom, and Family Research Council. It mobilizes pastors and faith leaders across the state to engage in legislative advocacy and public policy discussions. President and CEO Erik Dellenback leads was appointed to lead the organization in April 2025 after serving as Governor Ron DeSantis’ Liaison for Faith and Community.
