Christmas Miracles on University Boulevard
MELBOURNE — An outreach event held Saturday, Dec. 13, at New Mt. Zion Church on University Boulevard drew more than 425 people, resulting in over 40 professions of faith and 21 baptisms, according to event organizers.
The Christmas Block Party was organized through a collaboration of local churches led by Fire Starters Ministries and featured family activities alongside worship, gospel preaching, and on-site baptisms.
“Before the event, the Lord spoke to me clearly: ‘Gather the towels,’ just like Elisha told the widow to gather the vessels for the oil,” said organizer Adam Cronan in a post-event Facebook Post. “We gathered exactly 21 towels... and when the final towel was used, the baptisms were complete.”
The event also included free food for attendees. Organizers reported that enough food was available to feed everyone, with leftovers sent home with volunteers. In addition, four children received bicycles through a raffle held during the event.
Participating churches and ministries included Glory Coast, Church on the Rock, LifePoint, and Victory in Christ Jesus, along with volunteers from across the community.
