God's Building Block

One Minute Devotionals for local Brevard County Christians from local Brevard County Pastors.

God's Building Block
"For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church..."
— Ephesians 5:30-32
"And Adam said: 'This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.'"
— Genesis 2:23

Adam received the understanding of Christ and the Church even as the Apostle Paul confirmed it by revelation.  It remains the official building block of His Church from the very beginning of time when it began to be counted.

We can get excited when we place much effort to be successful in the marketplace. There is joy in the house when God’s finger touches our body with His healing power. There are shouts of “AMEN” and “HALLELUJAH” in the church as we receive a stirring message of who we are and the realities of “Christ in us, the hope of Glory” (Colossians 1:27).

But nothing touches the heart of God more than the effort we give in making our families successful. Nothing moves the love of the Father greater than when we allow him to touch our hearts so that we can fulfill His mandate for each one of us, in particular, to “love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband” as He builds His Church.

"Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it."
— Psalm 127:1

Devotional Prayer

Father, today I submit to you and surrender my life along with my family to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  May your government, which is upon the shoulders of your son, be the governing authority in my family. May your Spirit of wisdom and revelation give me the understanding on how to conform my life into the image of Jesus to sanctify my spouse and my children.  May my family be a light in the midst of darkness. Amen.
