Monthly Love INC Chapel Offers Encouragement for Volunteers and Staff
MELBOURNE — There was an added bustle to the morning’s rhythm last Wednesday at Love INC of Brevard’s Melbourne headquarters. As staff members prepared for the 10 a.m. opening of the Village Thrift Shop, others arrived for a special monthly gathering set aside to hear from God and reflect on the life and purpose of Christian ministry.
James Fontenot, director of education and church engagement at Love INC, said the monthly chapel services have been a core part of the organization’s life for several years. Held on the first Wednesday of each month beginning at 10 a.m., the services invite pastors and ministry leaders from within the Love INC network to encourage mentors and volunteers who serve both behind the scenes and on the front lines.
“These ministers bring different nuggets and different perspectives, all leading to kingdom business,” Fontenot said. “All leading to a kingdom mindset of what is the core mission of the church ... to serve our neighbors in need and to make sure that they know that no one gets left behind.”
Fontenot, who coordinates the chapel services, invited Tim Franklin, senior pastor of Freedom Christian Center, to lead this month’s gathering. After a brief time of worship led by Megan Starnes, who also serves as Love INC’s director of client services, Franklin taught on the power of teamwork in Christian ministry. Drawing from the example of the Apostle Paul, he emphasized Paul’s practice of surrounding himself with trusted friends and co-workers, presenting it as a model for how Christ-centered relationships strengthen both ministry teams and the people they serve.

Love INC of Brevard is part of a national network that seeks to encourage cooperation among local churches in addressing community needs. Rather than functioning as a standalone service provider, Love INC brings churches together into a coordinated care network. In Brevard County, the Love INC network includes more than 150 community partners—among them 70 local churches—working together to support individuals and families with clear action plans and connections to resources that promote long-term stability.
The chapel services are open to the public, and all who are seeking encouragement are welcome to attend. Next month’s guest chapel leader will be Jenny Zents, discipleship pastor at Rock Harbor Church.
