MELBOURNE – A rainbow appeared in the sky above Melbourne City Hall on Friday evening as local Christians gathered for a community Psalm sing and prayer event. Families and believers of all ages joined together outside City Hall to lift their voices in worship and intercede for Brevard County and the nation.

The gathering was organized by Amy and Ryan Hartmann of First Baptist Church of Melbourne. Ryan said that he was influenced to host the event in the wake of the recent shooting of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

The open-air worship was held in advance of the city’s approval of a Pride Parade through downtown Melbourne. A pre-event promo described the evening as a time of "joyful Psalm singing and bold prayer over Melbourne, Brevard County, and our nation."
