South Brevard Life Chain Marks 27th Year of Peaceful Witness
SOUTH BREVARD – Hundreds of Christians gathered across South Brevard on Sunday, October 5, for the 27th Annual South Brevard Life Chain, a peaceful, prayerful public witness for the sanctity of human life.
Participants lined intersections from Indialantic to Palm Bay holding signs and praying silently for unborn children, their mothers, and for an end to abortion. Organized by John Boyd, who has coordinated the event for all 27 years, this year’s Life Chain was held in memory of Charlie Kirk.
Groups from churches including Holy Name of Jesus, Calvary Chapel Melbourne, Ascension Catholic Church, Freedom Christian Center, and others stood along major roadways such as A1A, U.S. 1, Wickham Road, and Malabar Road, joining a national day of prayer held annually across the country.
The Life Chain is a national effort advertised as a "peaceful, prayerful public witness of pro-life Americans standing in honor of innocent human lives lost to abortion."
For one hour, hundreds of believers stood united in prayer, quietly lifting their hearts to God on behalf of the most vulnerable.
