"When Life's A Lot..."
One Minute Devotionals for local Brevard County Christians from local Brevard County Pastors.

It seems like now more than ever, there are so many people in my immediate circle of family and friends, as well as those within our church community and beyond who are just going through A LOT! As Christians, we aren’t exempt from trials and difficulties, but wow does life sometimes just feel like a lot! Can you relate?
Through prayer I was prompted to preach a message to our church family this past weekend on that topic, because God’s Word can always bring fresh perspective and encouragement to us!
Psalm 16:5-6 NKJV
O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.
Life sure can be overwhelming and feel like A LOT sometimes, but you can live full of hope because LIFE IS A LOT (imagine your life as an assigned plot of land that the Lord is the keeper of).
When you have the perspective that your life is a LOT, you can rest in the reality that the Lord maintains it and He cares for you!
When life is a lot (heavy, anxious, overwhelming, etc.), you can grow insecure and doubt God’s goodness and faithfulness in your life.
Psalm 16:5 in the NIV reads this way:
“Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.”
You can be free from insecurity because you live IN security.
Insecurity reveals what you’ve placed security in: the things of the world or things of the WORD!
Insecurity is based on fear, security is rooted in faith.
You can be free from fear, insecurity, and playing the “what-if” game when life feels like a lot, because you know that the LORD keeps the lot of your life secure!
Devotional Prayer:
Lord, would you encourage your people today! Those who feel burdened, stressed, and overwhelmed through life circumstances, would they truly find rest in You, the very Source of abundant life! May they know today that You maintain and secure their lot! Any fear, doubt, and insecurity be gone in Jesus’ mighty name! Amen!
