Hope 106.3 Celebrates Growth, Casts Vision for Christian Radio on the Space Coast
BREVARD — Hope 106.3 gathered supporters from across Brevard’s Christian community Sunday evening for its 2026 Vision Night, celebrating growth at the local Christian radio station while looking toward its continued reach across the Space Coast.
Mitch Hildebrant, a station volunteer and congregant of Calvary Chapel Melbourne, opened the evening with Psalm 96:2-3, describing its call to “declare his glory” as central to the station’s mission and theme for the evening.
“We’re going into places and homes you can’t reach,” Hildebrant said. “We’re going throughout Brevard County and beyond.”
Hope 106.3 is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Melbourne and has served Brevard since 1980. The Vision Night brought together longtime listeners, ministry partners and representatives from across the local church community, with First Baptist Melbourne Lead Pastor Scott Wilson estimating some 30 to 40 churches were represented in the room.
Also delivering remarks was Sherri Lynn, co-host and producer of the nationally syndicated Brant Hansen Show, produced by Christian FM in Vero Beach.
“Our hope we have, knowing our eternity, is worth telling everyone,” Lynn told attendees.

The station’s reach has grown considerably over the past two and a half years under General Manager Eric Allen, who spearheaded a shift from its longtime emphasis on teaching programs toward a format centered more heavily on contemporary Christian music and worship.
Allen came to the station after previous experience as an on-air host and producer with K-LOVE. Hope 106.3 has tripled its audience since the format change and now reports one of the highest average listening times among Brevard radio stations.
The station continues to offer local teaching programming alongside its music format, including programs from Brevard pastors Jim Johnson and Jim Campbell.

The evening closed with a featured performance by rising Christian artist Carly Ann Taylor, including a piano-accompanied version of her song “Why Should I Worry.”
Food for the gathering was donated by Squid Lips, with founder Buz Underill among those in attendance.
The station encouraged local supporters with reports of growth and is seeking to meet an approximately $180,000 operating need through the end of the year. Future plans include expanding the station’s small staff, including adding marketing and promotions support.
